Indian Journal of Medical Informatics

Indian Journal of Medical Informatics (IJMI) is an Open Access, peer-reviewed, online journal. We have adopted a broad definition of "medical informatics" and focus on the applied aspects of computers to healthcare delivery. In the Indian Journal of Medical Informatics, all articles are accessible FREE of charge (as HTML files). However, PDF files are available only to IAMI members. The ISSNs of the journal are 0973-0379 and 0973-9254 (Online). It has a PURL (Persistent Uniform Resource Locator) - http://purl.org/fulltext/ijmi/ - that will always point to its active Online Site. The journal is listed in the following databases:

  • ICMJE - URM Journals List, IndexCopernicus, Open J-Gate, Health Informatics World Wide and WAME. IJMI is also being archived at OpenMED@NIC.

Indian Journal of Medical Informatics has evolved to a peer reviewed, online-only and open access version. We intend to present a journal that is freely accessible to all readers with a quick turnaround time for manuscripts.

The Indian Journal of Medical Informatics will consider a wide range of submissions covering the theory, practice and outcomes of healthcare informatics with special emphasis on conditions similar to those prevailing in India.

    Scope of the Journal

The scope of the journal is detailed in the Focus and Scope section. We encourage original research submissions but will not accept substandard articles. Peer review will be rigorous, but we do not intend to throw the baby down the drain.

    Author Information

Authors are requested to read the Author Guidelines for Online Submissions.
